Seattle Ties with Hawaii For Worst Tippers in the U.S.

?A recent survey from Zagat that pulled results from “more then 145,000 surveyors who ate 24 million meals at 1,533 restaurants in 45 cities over the past year,” has dubbed Seattle and Hawaii the two locations where servers can expect the lowest percentage of tips. Against a reported national average of 19.1 percent, these two locales each came in at 18.4 percent, with San Francisco right on their heels at 18.5 percent.

The two cities with the best tippers: St. Louis and Philadelphia at 19.6 percent.
