Here’s what was being written about today in the world of food and dining news:
- City of Ate keeps the Mother’s Day articles rollin’ on in with a list of five bizarre food commercials starring moms. Our favorite, the high fructose corn syrup ad below. Because if you can’t clearly articulate why something totally unnatural is bad for you, it must be A-okay.
- On a healthier note, SFoodie has assembled a blind taste testing of various pale ales. Shockingly, Budweiser American Ale somehow ended up on the bottom of the list.
- Also on the beer front, Clean Plate Charlie is bringing us another Beer of the Week, this time featuring Mississippi Mud. It’s worth a purchase for the awesome looking bottle alone.
- And lastly, if you like reading about fake food and drinks, you’ll absolutely love Squid Ink’s list of the top 10 fictional foods and beverages to appear on screen. Quick, somebody grab us a can of Perri-air.
