Food Porn: Deep Fried Mac and Cheese (with Bacon)

A reader who obviously enjoys macaroni and cheese as much as we do alerted us to a video from the Food Network of Paula Deen making a deep fried, bacon wrapped, mac and cheese. You can find the video here, along with a link to the recipe.

Although the recipe seems relatively time consuming, the end result appears to be well worth the effort. As of now we’ve made no attempt to replicate the process, but we have watched the video about half a dozen times and are finally starting to come to the conclusion that simply viewing Paula Deen cooking something isn’t going to make it magically appear on our doorstep. Clearly we need to hire an intern to whip up a batch.
