A man in Auckland claimed to have found a deep fried cicada in his fries while frequenting a local McDonald’s last Tuesday. Upon finding the insect, he took pictures and returned to the restaurant, where he was given a full refund. McDonald’s has spoken out saying that this claim was indeed concerning, but because the meal was not returned they have been unable to investigate.
Not surprisingly, the Auckland native said this was the most disappointed he had been in McDonald’s since 2005 when they announced they were taking the McRib off the menu.
