If you’re a regular reader, you already know it was nearly impossible for wives in the 1950s to make a decent cup of coffee. So, it should come as no surprise that dinner appears to have often been a bit disappointing as well. Thankfully, even when dinner is burned and the wife is practically inconsolable (oh, the shame of another botched meal) Schlitz beer was there to help pick up the pieces.
For some reason we feel like Don Draper would have approved of this ad.
