A new study that included 3,600 students at Loyola Marymount University and the University of Washington determined there is an alarming gap between the amount of alcohol young women think they need to consume and what males actually think is attractive. The study revealed that 71% of women between the ages of 18 and 25 dramatically overestimated the number of drinks they were expected to have at an event, guessing an average of 1.5 times more than the men who participated in the survey.

The research suggested many young women may believe men find excessive drinking “sexually attractive and appealing,” but it also showed most men’s attraction had little to do with whether a female was consuming massive amounts of alcohol. In fact, we’re going to guess vomiting and blacking out wasn’t at the top of many males’ lists of attractive traits.
