A fun list published last week featured five of the most commonly mispronounced foods. Among the offenders were gnocchi and paprika, and although not guilty of mispronouncing either of those, I’ll shamefully confess to pronouncing prosciutto as pro-SKWEE-toe until the age of 18 because I’d blindly followed my mom’s lead. Oh the embarrassment.
So, what food words give you the most trouble? And, what words make you cringe when you hear them butchered by friends and family?
