It’s a dark day for fans of Frappuccinos, macchiatos, and any of the drinks with excessive amounts of caramel or whipped cream, as Starbucks has started raising prices on some of the more complicated beverages. However, on the bright side, fans of simplicity will finally be rewarded for their boring purchasing habits with small price reductions for more straightforward drinks like brewed coffee and lattes. The pricing adjustment is being rolled out nationwide over the next few months, and will be Starbucks’ third price hike since 2004.
