We’re all for making an effort to embrace other cultures and sample as many types of cuisine as possible. But, on the other hand, most of us aren’t blessed with the courage of Andrew Zimmern, and some foods definitely stop us in our tracks and make us stubbornly close our mouth and shake our head back and forth like a little kid that doesn’t want his veggies. Fortunately, someone took the time to assemble 10 of the world’s most questionable food items into a nice little slideshow so finicky eaters can scroll through and make gagging noises from the comfort of their own home.
While it’s quite possible many of these foods are full of wonderful and intense flavors you can’t find anywhere else, it’s also quite possible we’ll never actually find out what most of them taste like. However, we’re not quite sure how Haggis ended up the list, that stuff is delicious.
