Polling 806 restaurant critics, chefs, and industry experts, S. Pellegrino has once again compiled a list of the 50 best restaurants in the world. Just as you’d expect, the list includes a diverse offering of various countries and styles, and for the fourth straight year Spain’s El Bulli was awarded the top prize. On the home front, two restaurants from the US managed to attain top 10 honors, with Per Se (New York) ranking at number 6, and Alinea (Chicago) rounding things out at number 10. Suspiciously absent from the list was everyone’s favorite neighborhood restaurant, Applebee’s.
