In Nuremberg, Germany, there’s a restaurant that has begun automating both the ordering and the food delivery processes. Although they still require actual chefs in the kitchen, almost every other part of the process has been completely stripped of the human element. It’s either the wave of the future or an exceptionally good way to piss people off when their waters are never refilled. Also, we can’t help but worry that at some point the computer system will become “self-aware” and realize the only way to save humanity is to poison it and start over. But, maybe we’ve just been reading too much Asimov lately.
