The Restaurant Designed to Confuse Old People

Inamo Restaurant in London is taking full advantage of technology by offering digital menus that are projected down onto the table and then controlled using a built-in track pad. The cutting edge ordering system has generated quite a bit of attention, and in the video below you can see one couple working through the menu and deciding on a meal. It’s definitely an interesting concept, and we certainly love flashy new things, but we’re wondering how often the staff’s explanation of the menu actually takes longer than just writing down someone’s order the old-fashioned way. Also, it’s hard to imagine anyone still on dial-up is going to be able to figure this out without a lengthy tech support call.
