Food Roundup for May 14
Here’s what was being written about today in the world of food and dining news:
Cafe Society’s Nancy Levine has alerted us to a limited edition mint julep mix from Maker’s Mark. And, the most shocking part is this pre-mixed cocktail is actually pretty good.

| I do declare, that’s a tasty julep |
Also in booze news, Justin Timberlake isn’t the only celeb launching a brand of hard alcohol. Dan Aykroyd is stepping up to the plate with Crystal Head Vodka. Let’s hope it has enough kick to make us forget about Blues Brothers 2000.
In strange food news, Fat City’s Owen Morris has a quick rundown of some food items weird enough to receive Amazon.com’s “oddity” tag. Our favorite of the bunch is probably “freshly killed whole rabbit.”
And lastly, in food news we’d rather not talk about, it appears the makers of Baconnaise are taking it up a notch and offering bacon flavored lube. We’re thinking this is a huge misstep, since everyone knows pastrami is “the most sensual of all the salted cured meats.”
