In retail news, Ben and Jerry’s has finally responded to Häagen-Dazs’ 2-ounce reduction in the size of their pints. The statement they released begins with “A pint’s not a pint unless it’s a pint,” and goes on to promise that Ben and Jerry’s will continue to follow actual units of measurement when determining your container’s size.
In beverage news, the tasting panel at Chow Bella reviews Dry Soda (Lemongrass), a flavored beverage that may or may not qualify as an actual soda. And, in oddly flavored beverage news, The Hot Dish offers a look at a few meaty drinks, and says the “Pork Martini” is stepping a bit over the line. However, we’re waiting for a Five Meat Pizzatini before we make any judgments about things having gone too far.
