Food Roundup for March 4
Here’s what’s happening today in the world of food, dining, and all those wonderful things:
Well known chef Eric Ripert has been fairly outspoken about his lack of respect for 12-year-old food critic David Fishman, the phenom who has recently been making major waves on the food scene. Personally we’re right with Chef Ripert on this one, a pre-teen food critic would be a lot more impressive if Lisa Simpson hadn’t already beaten him to it almost 10 years ago.

In other news, someone took the time to compare Lightlife Smart Bacon to the real thing. We don’t want to spoil the results too much, but one of them is fantastic and the other one is, “really terrible.” We’ll let you guess which is which.
And lastly, a former waiter gets into the tipping debate, and discusses some of the problems with pooling tips. Apparently he’s not a fan of stingy restaurant owners taking more than their fair share, which is hard to believe since most people love being cheated out of hard earned cash.
