Here’s what’s being written about today in the world of food, dining, and drinking news:

Bacon is the meat of the moment, and it’s not hard to understand why. And, as bacon continues to deliciously weasel its way into every nook of pop culture, bacon jokes were bound to take off sooner or later. Fortunately Jim Gaffigan is more than capable of doing bacon its comedic justice.

This week’s waiter confidential discusses the greedy side of servers vying for tip dollars. Obviously the restaurant this server refers to wasn’t pooling any tips, because the catfight described when two women both want to serve the same generous-tipping customer sounds like something out of a Real World episode.
