Food Roundup for March 23

Here’s what’s going on today in the world of food and dining news:

This past weekend marked the first ever BaconCamp in San Francisco, an event dedicated to the joys and awesomeness of bacon. Contestants put their best foot forward with entries ranging from giant bacon eggs to a bacon recreation of the Obama hope poster (titled Obacon in case you’re wondering.) Although the bacon craze may be at its apex, we’re hoping BaconCamp becomes an annual event.

Easily the best way to get bacon out of your teeth.

On the other hand, if you think bacon is just too unhealthy, you can always wow your friends with some homemade donuts. They’re easier to make than you might think, and when you do it yourself you can add as many sprinkles as you want.

In “questionable Chinese food” news, one of the Fat City writers takes Panda Express to task for not offering much of a bargain. However, we’ve never had nearly as much of a problem with Panda Express’ prices as our stomach has had with digesting two pounds of “orange chicken.”

And lastly, if you’re looking for some bedroom attire that brings out the animal in you, look no further than the beef jerky underwear available on etsy. Each pair is made to order, and is priced at an extremely reasonable $139.00.
