Food Roundup for March 11
Here’s what’s going on today in the world of food and dining:
It seems as if Kellogg’s is trying to unload the remainder of their Michael Phelps adorned Corn Flakes boxes. They recently donated two tons of cereal bearing the bong-toking Phelps’ likeness to a San Francisco Food Bank. This should provide the food bank with a nice change of pace from the muffin-bottoms that get delivered on a daily basis.

On a completely different note, we’re not sure how you prefer to drink your coffee, but unless you’re drinking it black, you’re doing it wrong. One of the Gut Check writers provides a pretty compelling argument for why you should leave your coffee unmolested.
Also, if you’re wondering how you can tell when spring is here, apparently asparagus is one of the signs. In case you were curious, other gauges you can use include weather, calendars, and the fact that you’re starting not to feel self-conscious about being seen in sleeveless shirts.
Lastly, it sounds like beer commercials might actually be encouraging kids to drink. However, the new study by Canadian and Dutch researchers seems like a waste of time since underage drinking is illegal and therefore never happens.
