Food Roundup for July 29
Here’s what was being written about today in the world of food and dining news:
A non-profit organization in Hawaii has gotten their hula-skirts in a bunch over the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile, claiming its presence in Oahu is a violation of Hawaii’s billboard ban. Fortunately Fat City has the details.

Cafe Society has looked at the Huffington Post poll we mentioned yesterday, and appears to be a little distraught that Denver is getting its ass handed to it in the local food rankings. Still, it’s an honor just to be nominated, right?
In Top Chef Masters news, Bites is reminding everyone that tonight marks the beginning of the four part final showdown. Supposedly news has already leaked regarding who won, but we’d rather keep our head in the sand until it actually airs.
And lastly, for those who weren’t already aware, today is National Lasagna Day and to celebrate, Buca di Beppo is giving away a free lasagna with the purchase of any other pasta dish. Thanks Chow Bella, for giving everyone a heads up.
