Here’s what was being written about today in the world of food and dining news:
- Eating Our Words kicks things off with a detailed look at 10 kitchen appliances nobody needs. 11 if you count the unwritten rule that no one should ever buy a quesadilla maker.

- Stick a Fork In It somehow manages to read our mind and publishes a list of five restaurant rip-offs we could live without. Seriously, tap water is just fine, but thanks for asking.
- Clean Plate Charlie dubs Samuel Smith’s Organic Ale the beer of the week. They also brew a mean oatmeal stout.
- And lastly, Fork in the Road makes everyone a little bit nauseous with footage of Martha Stewart learning how to pole dance. We liked her better when she was sipping 40s with Conan O’Brien.
