Here’s what was being written about today in the world of food and dining news:
- Fat City gets things started with a list of the top five food innovations for the lazy. Though we’d argue the McRib has no business being on this list.

- Voracious helps get us ready for New Year’s Eve with some recommendations for good cheap sparkling wine.
- And, on a similar note, Clean Plate Charlie offers up another installment of Cheap Wine that Doesn’t Suck. This week’s selection: a Spanish sparkling wine called Poema Cava.
- Lastly, Bites goes all Back to the Future on us and takes a look at home cooking trends from 30 years ago. It was a time when The BeeGees topped the charts and tuna casserole was all the rage; not much to be nostalgic about.
