Here’s what was being written about today in the world of food and dining news:
- Stick a Fork In It is already prepping for Mother’s Day, offering up a list of five stress-free brunch dishes. Apparently, making a frittata is as easy as scrambling eggs. No word on quiche, though.

- Voracious takes a look at some of the great fake commercials of years past with a list of six favorite SNL fake food ads. We find the lack of love for Crystal Gravy highly disturbing.
- Fat City provides further proof that Sir-Mix-A-Lot needs to be put down, with a write-up of the new “I like big Butterfingers” commercial. Who says parodies have to be even remotely current?
- And lastly, you know it’s a serious news day when we’re linking to a fruit butter article. Well, Eating Our Words is spreading it on nice and thick with a spotlight on apple butter. Seriously, it’s actually pretty good.
