Food Roundup for April 21

Here’s what was being written about today in the world of food and dining news:

Cafe Society discusses some of the unique challenges of bringing quality cuisine to passengers at 30,000 feet. Number one on the list, overcoming 30 plus years of hack comedy bits about bad airline food.

Not once has our in-flight meal actually looked like this. We’re calling shenanigans.

Bites talks up the Carl’s Jr. ad campaigns and includes a nice video from Current TV about the “Douchebaggery” of the fast-food chain’s commercials. For some reason seeing all those clips played back to back the ads suddenly seem exponentially more offensive.

Fat City’s Owen Morris reports on a new study about the prevalence of fast food in America. Not surprisingly, American’s aren’t as health conscious as they’d like to think.

And lastly, the bacon craze might be getting a tad out of hand, as Fork in the Road points out the availability of bacon strip skateboards. Undoubtedly the perfect item for rebellious Jewish skateboarders the world over.
