Food Roundup for April 17

Here’s what was being written about today in the world of food and dining news:

Gum aficionados the world over can finally experience the joys of bologna bubble gum. Cafe Society’s Liz Kellermeyer has the review.

Liz Kellermeyer
No thanks, we’re holding out for pastrami.

City of Ate’s Dave Faries talks about how he was introduced to Fundador. And, you can’t spell Fundador without F-U-N…sadly, you also can’t spell it without “dad.”

In annoying ad campaign news, Fork in the Road talks about the new Quaker Oats signage that is popping up all over. Our suggestion for turning the campaign around: more Brimley!

And, lastly, The Hot Dish is reporting on Psycho Donuts, a donut shop that’s raising some eyebrows from mental health advocates for their insensitively named treats. It seems like the store should just send the complainers a box of “Mallow Dramatic” donuts on the house and tell them to quit their whining.
