Food Roundup for April 1
Here’s what’s being written about today in food and dining news:
If you’re looking for a strong investment, why not put your money in Scotch? At least then when your investment tanks, you’ll already have a bunch of whiskey.
| A “can’t miss” investment opportunity! |
The Hot Dish discusses the pistachio recall and suggests that all these food scares might just be a bunch of hysteria. Honestly, we’re kind of in agreement and have decided we’ve had enough of this Salmonella nonsense. It’s becoming a bit of a cliche and frankly, we’re ready for the next big thing.
Fork in the Road recommends a few websites that will help you keep tabs on your food. We sure do love online resources, but there’s no site that can ever replace several minutes of awkwardly sniffing and poking at a piece of food while you try to determine whether it’s still okay to eat.
And lastly, Bites jokes about the Twitter craze and the short attention span it might be creating for readers by announcing their new all-Twitter format. We’re thinking the April Fools Day joke is going to be on us when tomorrow we find out we’re still wading through more than 140 characters every time we want a piece of news.
