Food Roundup for May 26

Here’s what was being written about today in food and dining news:

Stick a Fork In It points out the obvious problem with Kettle brand chips offering a baked version. Next you’ll be telling us KFC is trying to peddle grilled chicken. Whatever happened to staying the course?

Forget everything you think you know about Kettle Chips. These effers are baked.

This week’s installment of Ask the Bartender covers the topic of not getting screwed when you’re divvying up the bill with friends. The simplest solution: conveniently go to the restroom and hide out in there until everything is magically squared away.

In drinking news, Gut Check’s Dave Nelson discusses what it takes to be a wine geek. It sounds like an awful lot of work, so maybe you should just omit the wine part of the equation and sit on the couch watching Battlestar Galactica.

And lastly, City of Ate features a short interview with Jeff Harris, the new head chef of Dallas’ Craft. They ask 10 questions, and only one of them is devoted to Tom Colicchio’s bald head. What a waste.
