Food Roundup for March 13
Here’s what’s going on today in the world of food and dining news:
Returning to Tuesday’s discussion of, “What is a reasonable price for a cocktail?” The Pitch’s Fat City takes the stance of “drinker beware.” Although we kind of like their idea that:
…you make an implicit bargain: I agree to order your high-mark-up booze and you agree to not make me feel like a fool when the bill comes.

The Nashville food blog, Bites, discusses a question of coffee shop etiquette. Although, the case they bring up seems to be cut and dry, and we don’t condone cutting in line at a coffee shop for pretty much any reason. Unless of course all you’re after is the key to the restroom.
On a totally different note, a few geek oriented cakes were brought to our attention thanks to The Hot Dish. However, none of the four cakes look all that appetizing, and we’re thinking some quality may have been sacrificed in exchange for unique design.
And lastly, a waiter discusses some confusion with a few customers surrounding a made-up dish called “Javelina Nipple Fritters.” If you were expecting nipple fritters and got something else instead, you’d be disappointed too. Or relieved. It’s hard to say really.
