Food Roundup for Feb 9

Today in food and dining news:

Our friends in New York spotted this cake in the window of a Dominican Bakery over the weekend, and we still can’t stop wishing we could get one shipped to us in time for Valentine’s Day.

Hey there, sexy lady. You like what you see?

Also in Valentine’s Day news, your dining options just grew by at least 150%, as Subway has announced it is expanding the $5 foot-long menu from 8 sandwiches to 20. This means that now all regular subs will be included in the offer, and if for some reason you find yourself only wanting a 6-inch then you might as well just take out your wallet and start burning money, because you clearly have no concept of value.

In alcohol news, it seems that logic prevails again, and drinking tequila doesn’t have any additional effect on how “wasted” you get. Just like you always suspected, it’s based on the alcohol content, amount you drink, and the speed at which you drink it. So basically, it’s not tequila that’s to blame, it’s your sickening lack of self-control.

And lastly, because there weren’t already enough energy drinks on the market, Arizona Green Tea has decided to give consumers yet another option if they’re in need of a midday caffeine boost. The Arizona Green Tea Energy Drink is supposedly twice as strong as a can of Red Bull, but our friends in Phoenix appear to be unconvinced. Also, they describe the taste as, “akin to sucking on sage leaves.” Which isn’t exactly a rave review.
