Cherries.jpg

A farmer in Spain has found a way to provide cherries during the months of March and April, and seems to be reaping the rewards. The Glamour cherries, which are said to be the only cherries in the world available at this time of year, are being sold at Harrods in London for an astonishing 195 pounds per kilogram. This breaks down to right around 3 British pounds per individual cherry.

Now we’ll be the first to admit the seasonality of fruit can be somewhat frustrating, but under no circumstances have we ever contemplated shelling out over 145 bucks just for a little over a pound of cherries. That is absolutely absurd. For that kind of money you could practically bathe yourself in maraschino cherries, and last we checked, those were available year round as well.
