Asylum.com has compiled a list of the
countries with the highest amount of per capita alcohol consumption, and disappointingly, America is once again lagging behind. Of the top 50 countries listed, the US ranks an embarrassing 43rd, and our mild-mannered neighbors to the north barely edged their way onto the list at number 47. The biggest surprise however, came from the country topping the charts. With each person consuming an impressive average of 19.47 liters of alcohol each year, Uganda easily walked away with the title of drunkest nation in the world, surprising such proud drinking traditions as Germany (#10) and Ireland (#4).
Who would have thought Uganda would be able to rise to the challenge and compete at such a high level in the global arena? Well played Uganda. Well played.
