After already having received some significant press from the NY Post, 13-year-old chef Greg Grossman was recently featured by the Chicago Tribune in a brief interview that actually makes him seem like less of a novelty act and more like a genuine prodigy.
The short list of topics ranged from his work in molecular gastronomy to his open invitation to shadow world renowned chef Eric Ripert at Le Bernardin. However, there’s not a single answer in the interview that gives away the chef’s age or leads you to question his maturity. While it’s still hard to wrap your head around a child cooking gourmet cuisine, Greg Grossman has celebrity chef written all over him. Apparently a TV show is already in the works, and it’s hard to imagine we won’t be seeing him popping up on The Food Network in years to come.
