In a quest to find this year’s perfect cocktail, Stephen Colbert spent some time with cocktail historian David Wondrich. After tasting a few classic drinks, the segment culminates in the creation of a new cocktail called, “The Colbert Bump.” It’s 1 oz cherry brandy, 1.5 oz gin, a little bit of lemon juice, and some soda water to top it all off. We can only imagine this drink will be popping up on cocktail menus in no time. After all, how can something called “The Colbert Bump” not experience a little bit of the Colbert bump?
