And, while we&#8217;re assuming this accounts for the continued popularity of Larry King and Willard Scott, today&#8217;s stream of consciousness comes from legend Andy Rooney. A recent segment in which Rooney wanders around a local market offering insights such as, &#8220;I don&#8217;t like green fruit. Green is for vegetables,&#8221; and, &#8220;I think a cherry is the only thing that I&#8217;ve ever stolen from a store,&#8221; is part SNL skit and part pointless fluff piece.
