When it comes to food on film, there are plenty of classic scenes to choose from: the goodfellas cooking up a spaghetti dinner in prison, the omelet in Big Night, the slow melting of an uppity food critic’s heart in Ratatouille, and the list goes on. But, on the flip side of that coin, there are some scenes that managed to use food not to delight the audience, but rather to disgust. Films that show characters eating things that cause you to cringe and want to turn away, but for some reason you just keep on watching. Let’s face it, if there wasn’t a fascination with watching people eat gross things, Fear Factor wouldn’t have been on the air for six years. And, disgusting as they may be, these 8 grossest food moments in film are still pretty damn memorable. <\/p>\n

8) Yellow Snow Cones (Jackass: The Movie)<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/param><\/param><\/param><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n

Gross out comedy and pushing the limits of good taste were two of Jackass’ signatures, and watching someone urinate on and then eat a snow cone certainly fits one of the two categories. Not only is this pretty tough to watch, but it’s also one of the most memorable scenes from the first Jackass film.<\/p>\n

7) Nic Cage Eats a Live Cockroach (Vampire’s Kiss)<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/param><\/param><\/param><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n

Even though Andrew Zimmern might not have a problem eating a cockroach, Nicolas Cage is a freakin’ Academy Award winner. You can practically see the desperation in his eyes and tell he’s willing to suffer through this gross movie moment in the hopes that one day he’ll be lauded as a respectable actor. And, it worked…right up until The Wicker Man.<\/p>\n

6) Downing a Live Octopus (Oldboy) <\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/param><\/param><\/param><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n

If you haven’t already seen Oldboy you should probably just rent it immediately and invite your parents over for a nice late night screening. But, for those who have, the live octopus scene stands out as one of the grossest moments in a film that’s definitely not short on surprises. <\/p>\n

5) Mr. Creosote is Too Full for a Wafer Thin Mint (Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life)<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/param><\/param><\/param><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n

It’s only a mint. Unfortunately, wafer thin or not, the mint is the straw that breaks the camel’s back and brings Mr. Creosote’s dinner to an abrupt end. It’s just like the gluttony guy in Seven…but considerably funnier.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
