Even though this comes from before the cupcake craze really took hold, it’s also a scary sign of where we’re heading if someone doesn’t put a stop to the “we’ll deep fry anything” madness. We love cupcakes as much as the next person, but there are some things you just shouldn’t do, and messing with a winning formula is one of them. Deep fried Twinkies, Oreos and even ice cream is A-okay, but once you start trying to enhance cupcakes, things are getting a bit out of hand.<\/p>\n

Much like bacon, the cupcake craze started because cupcakes are amazing enough as-is. No need for innovation, let’s just enjoy our cupcakes the way nature intended.<\/p>\n
