The priest at a Norwegian church exercised some quick thinking when faced with frozen pipes and an inability to get water for a recent baptism. Turning to what was readily available, the enterprising man of the cloth opted for lemon flavored soda, and used that to baptize the child. Metro.co.uk reports that:

The child’s family were only informed about the switch after the ceremony, because the priest ‘had a need to inform’ them about the lingering lemon odour.

We’re assuming this won’t become standard practice, but if we were going to choose a beverage for our child’s baptism we’d totally pick Mountain Dew, and it would be the most extreme baptism ever.

The classy choice.
