The 1950s were a great time (provided you were a white male of course), but the one thing that was hard to find was a good cup of coffee. For some reason, women who weren’t using Folgers just kept brewing pot after pot of undrinkable coffee. Fortunately, their husbands had the good sense to tactfully address the issue of bad-tasting coffee so the wives could be aware of what a disappointing job they were doing.
