In a commercial so confusing it would leave David Lynch scratching his head, a child singing a hymn-like song (while accompanied by an orchestra of baby dolls) leads to a 3-second flash of noodles followed by what we can only assume is a tagline. Never mind that the product has apparently nothing to do with the previous 25 seconds of the commercial. If it works for jeans, it should work for noodles…or sauce…or whatever is being sold in this ad.
It’s probably best to just sit back and enjoy the WTF-ness of the whole thing than pick it apart. But, if you’re looking for a more detailed explanation of exactly what is supposed to be going on in the video below, Kitsune Noir seems to have made some sense of it. Either way, this commercial blows those lame American ads right out of the water.
