Guinness, which began in 1759, has now completed a quarter millennium of brewing, and the beer that has become synonymous with St. Patrick’s Day is celebrating its 250th birthday. According to the Guinness website, parties are being held in over 150 different countries and the Dublin brewery is hosting an invitation-only party with musical guest Tom Jones (who we’re pretty sure is also creeping up on his 250th birthday.) Sadly, Daily Fork was without invite to the event, but we still wish Guinness all the best, and will lift a pint glass in their honor.
