An online promotion that never actually took place has led to Domino’s giving away approximately 11,000 free pizzas over the past few days. A savvy customer stumbled onto the fact that the coupon code “bailout” would allow people placing an online order to receive a free medium pizza. Thanks to the magic of the internet, the coupon code spread quickly, and the defunct promotion became an overnight success / disaster. Sadly, the coupon code was deactivated Tuesday morning, and the wave of free pizzas has been brought to a screeching halt.
